Sweets to Eat When You Want a Treat…
There are always days when the sugar cravings get the better of us. Sometimes you just need sugary treats to make your day that much sweeter.
Here at InspireCycle, we are all about eating food that is healthy and still fulfills the need for something slightly naughty in your diet. For the days when you just can’t say no, here are some of our favourite ways to indulge guilt free…
FOR SOMETHING PRE OR POST WORKOUT
If you didn’t try these when they were in the Teneriffe studio, you missed out! Our instructor, Elle, created one of the best tasting bliss balls we’ve ever had – Cookie Dough. They feed your sugar cravings and taste exactly like a Betty Crocker mixture minus the guilt. We love them because they are full of protein, and fibre which has many health benefits in your diet.
We’ve found a cheeky little DIY recipe HERE to recreate all that is the Queen of bliss ball flavours!
FOR SOME CHOCOLATE-Y GOODNESS
You can’t go past a good brownie… so it’s a good idea to turn that brownie into something that is considered ‘good for you’. Sweet potatoes are a complex carbohydrate that is packed with Vitamin A and dietary fiber, but also create the perfect texture in a brownie – the perfect combination of cakey and fudgy. We love them because they taste DELICIOUS and give us the hit of chocolate that we crave.
Here’s our numero uno go-to Brownie recipe for the ultimate taste sensation…
FOR A HEARTY SNACK
Coco Bliss Emporium bought treats to our Inspire Social event in Teneriffe last Wednesday and we were obsessed! While any kind of acai bowl is a go-to, their Choc PB Protein bowl stole our hearts. Filled with raw cacao and peanut butter, this was a delicious treat to eat after a class. We are so excited to have our new neighbour Coco Bliss now open in Fortitude Valley!
Want to recreate their bowls (probably not as divine but hey) at home? Maybe try this recipe…
FOR A DESSERT THAT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE
Our friends at Halo Top literally have the best desserts EVVVEERRR. We are so excited for our event this Friday with Halo Top in King George Square Brisbane and to add a little sugar to our cycle! Their incredible protein ice-cream contains less calories than normal icecream and is so delicious we could eat it all day long (and not feel the guilt).
