Why I’ll Never Stop Strength Training - And You Shouldn’t Either

Why I Love Strength Training (and why you might too)
Strength training has always been more than just a physical activity for me. It is my therapy, my challenge, and my biggest motivator. There’s something incredibly empowering about feeling your body grow stronger, your mind clearer, and your goals more achievable. As a woman, also allowing myself to grow in a way that I once feared would be too challenging. We can always do more than we think!
I love strength training because it pushes me. It has helped my muscular endurance and mental strength, both things I carry with me into everyday life and activities. The physical challenges of strength and resistance exercise have incredible benefits to how we live our lives beyond classes. For me, whether it’s teaching my weekly classes, taking on a big day of movement, or just lifting the groceries, I owe that to strength training. Beyond that, it gives me mental clarity. There’s no room for distractions when you're mid-set - it's just you, your breath, and the work. That kind of presence is rare in our day-to-day, and I treasure it.
And one of my favourite things? The constant progress. With strength training, I’m always setting goals and hitting them, whether it is by lifting heavier, adding reps, or improving form. There’s always a new level to reach, and nothing beats the feeling of surprising yourself with what you’re capable of.

What Even Is Bootcamp? (Spoiler: It’s Way More Than Just Floor Work)
When people hear “bootcamp,” they might imagine it is just that bit of boxing where you drop to the floor for a few push-ups and crunches. But let me tell you ... our Bootcamp is so much more than that.
Inspire’s Bootcamp classes are 45-minute sessions, and throughout the week have different focuses:
Tuesday: Lower Body
Wednesday: Full Body
Thursday: Upper Body
Friday: Booty
Sunday: Full Body
So you can align your schedule with your goals and where you want to strengthen.
We use dumbbells, benches, Y-bells, booty bands - and we hit it all, incorporating core work into each session no matter the anatomical focus.
It’s not just about getting sweaty (although, yes, you will), it’s about building strength, endurance, and confidence in your body’s ability to do hard things. It’s about pushing past what you thought your limits were. And it’s done in an environment that supports you the whole way (and still with the best beats, our playlists are curated to motivate you through each rep).
Inside My Bootcamp Classes: What to Expect and How I Prep
You can find me on the schedule every week for Wednesday 6:15pm FULL BODY Bootcamp and Friday 7:15am BOOTY Bootcamp (our newest Friday ritual).
Both classes are intentionally programmed. Music is a huge part of it, the right track at the right moment can push you through that last round or help you hit that final burpee with energy you didn’t know you had. But beyond the playlist, my real focus is on the people. Every class, I think: How can I challenge them? How can I help them level up today?
Take my FULL BODY Wednesday Bootcamp, for example:
The format doesn’t change - and that’s on purpose. When you walk into my Wednesday class, you know you’re going to get structure: we target core, upper body, lower body, and then finish with a conditioning challenge. It’s a full-body burn that leaves no muscle group behind.
We always begin with a dynamic warm-up to get the body moving and the joints prepped. Then we go into a core round, with weights! I want people to feel their core switch on before we move into anything else, so they can carry that awareness into every movement.
Next, we split the class into upper and lower body strength rounds. Think compound lifts, functional movements, and form-focused programming. And just when you think you’ve hit your limit, we wrap with a challenge. Something that gets the heart rate high and tests your mental grit as much as your physical stamina.
And then… we breathe. Yep. We end with breathwork.
It’s something I added intentionally, because after 45 minutes in the rumble room, your heart’s racing and your mind is hazy. Taking just a few minutes to bring your heart rate down, connect with your breath, and reflect on how hard you just worked is powerful.
It's also your reminder: you did that.

See you in the Rumble Room!
