TO LISTEN

A podcast I would recommend is "the psychology of your 20s" - it's hosted by Jenna Sbeg and she does a deep dive of literally everything you can think of - dealing with healthy attachment styles, emotional intelligence, financial anxiety, conquering failure, making friends in your 20s. It’s all really interesting! Would recommend listening while doing a deep clean of your house - it’s somehow therapeutic!

Loving Rufus’s Surrender Remix Album! They are touring Australia. I can’t wait to see them live!

TO READ

DESERT STAR, Michael Connelly

From Scott

Taken from GoodReads:

A year has passed since LAPD detective Renée Ballard quit the force in the face of misogyny, demoralization, and endless red tape. Yet, after the chief of police himself tells her she can write her ticket within the department, Ballard takes back her badge, leaving “the Late Show” to rebuild the cold case unit at the elite Robbery-Homicide Division.

For years, Harry Bosch has been working a case that haunts him but that he hasn’t been able to crack—the murder of an entire family by a psychopath who still walks free. Ballard makes Bosch an offer: come work with her as a volunteer investigator in the new Open-Unsolved Unit, and he can pursue his “white whale” with the resources of the LAPD behind him.

The two must put aside old resentments to work together again and close in on a dangerous killer. Propulsive and unstoppable, this new novel demonstrates once again why “Connelly is the real deal”.

Mine is an activity!

Ride a bike from West End to Kangaroo Point and have a little picnic at Kangaroo Point underneath the Story Bridge (I think it may be Captain Burke Park!). It is the perfect weather to catch some rays, have a cheese board and enjoy some bevies in the park 🥂.

No matter what kind of weekend you are vibing, these recs have you covered! Curated for you, by our team. What are your November recommendations for us?
