Ralph + Shane: It’s a love story (and they said YES!) 💍

If you’re a regular at Inspire, chances are you know Ralph and Shane. Ralph and Shane’s engagement and pre-wedding festivities have been nothing short of so them ✨. A wedding filled with cheeky surprises, big energy, their favourite people, and plenty of moments that feel straight out of their own Eras Tour 🤵🏻‍♂️+🤵🏻‍♂️ 💒

We sat down with the soon-to-be newlyweds to hear their love story, their Inspire obsession, and all the details behind their unforgettable wedding weekend.

Tell us your love story! How did you two meet?

We first matched on Tinder back in December 2016, and just a month later, in January 2017, we went on our first date in Melbourne. What was meant to be a casual first date quickly turned into an unforgettable night. We ended up visiting NINE different venues: seven bars, one restaurant, and one club. Clearly, neither of us was ready for the night to end! 🍸✨

Fast forward nearly 10 years, and that first date was the beginning of so much more. Since then, we’ve built a life together, welcoming our beautiful dog Milo, making the move to Brisbane, buying our first home, and creating countless memories along the way 🐾🏡

What started as a swipe right turned into a whole life we never could have imagined.

And, when did you know this was it?

Ralph: I knew this was it when we went to Mt Everest Base Camp, and I think I almost DIED, but Shane was selfless the whole time.

Shane: After his master's, Ralph had to move interstate to get his permanent visa, but I wanted him to stay in Victoria, and I didn’t want him to leave! (When you know you know)

How long have you both been coming to the studio, and did you start riding together or separately?

We did the one-week free promo during the pandemic in 2021! Ari was our first class, and she sealed the deal! The rest is history!

Whose idea was it to host your bucks party at Inspire — and what was the other person's reaction?

We both had the idea, but Ralph suggested it first!

Why did you decide Inspire was the right fit for this occasion?

It was truly a no-brainer to do it at Inspire. InspireCycle is a big part of day-to-day life! We are literally here every day! We wanted our closest friends and family to experience our obsession! Inspire gives nothing-but happy vibes, so we want to start the wedding weekend with good vibes and energy! To also include Ariel and Alex, who have been such important parts of both our journeys the last few years, was so special. 🥹

What was the best part of your joint bucks ride?

The best part of our joint bucks ride was creating a class that felt completely us. Having our own playlist, bringing everyone together, and even having Ariel fly up from Melbourne to be part of it made the day so special.

Having 50 of our favourite people experience the Inspire high was unforgettable. And they LOVED IT (naturally). The moment everyone started singing along like we were in a giant karaoke session? That was a core memory 🎤✨ Watching everyone just let loose captured exactly what we love about Inspire.

And of course, we couldn’t forget the finishing touches—croissants, cold brew, and matcha afterwards. The perfect post-ride trio ☕ 🥐

What was your #1 song request?

Oh! This is a tough one. Both of us love Show Me Love by Robyn, which was the Inspire track! And, definitely You Belong with Me by Taylor Swift. The perfect final sprint.

What are you the most excited for about your wedding and honeymoon? 

Other than spending the morning with the burpee queen Alex (a very on-brand way to start the day 😂), we’re most excited to celebrate with our friends and family and have everyone we love in one place.

We can’t wait to see Milo, our German Shepherd, walk down the aisle as our ring bearer 🐾 and experience our three (!) planned dances, and watch everyone’s reactions to the cheeky surprises we have planned. 👀

We’ve arranged some very us details for our guests, including a marching band, hash browns from Yolk, our favourite boba tea van, plus a boat experience for all 100 of us. We’re just so excited to create a day full of fun, laughter, and memories with the people who mean the most to us.

And of course… we’re most excited to officially become entangled with each other 🤍✨
